Music Program Description:
Ear Candy teamed up with Boys & Girls Club for a 10 week acoustic guitar after-school program during Fall 2009.  The program is designed to give the beginning guitarist an understanding of basic guitar technique and musical knowledge. By playing chords, developing note reading skills, and listening, students will develop a well-rounded approach to the discipline. Through individual practice and group performance a deeper understanding of the instrument and music will be achieved.

This program met Tuesday from 6 PM until 8 PM from 9/29 and runs until 12/8.  At the conclusion of the program the students had an opportunity to perform at the Ear Candy Emerging Artist Series on 9/18 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Downtown Phoenix.

This model will be developed here and replicated in other Boys & Girls programs throughout the valley.
