Music Program Description:
Ear Candy Charity donated equipment and instruments to Valley View School on December 18th, 2009. These donations are critical at a time when the economy has made it tough for schools to fund the Arts. The timing of Earcandy’s donations is vital to keeping students in the Roosevelt School District in Art programs.

The following is a list of instruments and the number of students that they will impact.

Drum set. This set will replace a worn and tired one. Students in the 5-8 grades and Latin Jazz Band will benefit. Total 24 students.
Power amp will be used to power 2 speakers. These speakers will be used at assemblies. Each assembly has 200-300 students.
Clarinet. This instrument will be used with student’s grades 3rd-8th. This will impact 5-6 students.
Flute. This instrument will be used in grades 4th-8th. The impact will be with 4-5 students.
Tenor Saxophone. This instrument will be used with students in grade 6th-8th. This will impact 1-2 students. This instrument is more specialized.
Guitar. This instrument will be used in grades 6th-8th grade. This instrument will be used by 4-5 student’s.

You can see by just these 6 items that they will benefit over 300 students directly or indirectly.
